Lately the focus has been on Bullying, the bad the worse and the uglies they do, How to deal and how to combat this social evil. but that is not the only social ill that needs to be addressed. Stuff like crime, teen pregnancies ,boarding schools and college failures and dropouts are among the matters that need constant and immediate attention. This is not the focus of this post though, the focus is on inspiration.
Collins dictionary defines inspiration as an inner feeling of enthusiasm you get from someone or something which gives you new and creative ideas. This is partly correct because you don't only get inspiration from things or other people.
I like to think of inspiration as an inner feeling you get from inside yourself or from elements around you Such elements could be people, the nature and atmosphere around you,and all states of nature that revolve around you. All forms of nature can be an inspiration. We all get inspiration from different things as we all are unique. I for one is inspired by life, famous quotes, inspirational music and thoughts among other things.
NB: To be inspired or for people to say you are inspirational, you must be self aware. The fundamental aspect to inspiration is Self conscientiousness. This article brings you some of the famous inspirational quotes from people all over the world who were truly inspired that they inspired themselves and billions of people more all over the world.
The first of these being:
Anthony Robbins
"I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's
greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending
commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move
mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may
sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their
dreams from those who live in regret."
"I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying
the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I
now enjoy."
"The path to success is to take massive, determined action."
"It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute... that gives
meaning to our lives."
"Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command
when we focus all of our resources on mastering a single area of our lives."
"Once you have mastered time, you will understand how true it is that most
people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year - and underestimate
what they can achieve in a decade."
"The path to success is to take massive, determined action."
"You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do
what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action."
The next inspirational writer is,Dr Steven Covey
"Between stimulus and response, one has the freedom to choose."
"Don't argue for other people's weaknesses. Don't argue for your own. When
you make a mistake, admit it, correct it, and learn from it--immediately."
"Every human has four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent
will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom... The
power to choose, to respond, to change."
"Happiness can be defined, in part at least, as the fruit of the desire and ability to
sacrifice what we want now for what we want eventually."
Napoleon Hill is among the five inspirational thinkers who I greatly adore the four being my parents, our neighborhood pastor and the guy who said this famous quote: I have a dream. Among these is Dr. Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.
Napoleon Hill once said:
"The best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or
coming back with excuses."
"Action is the real measure of intelligence."
"Do it now! can affect every phase of your life. It can help you do the things you
should do but don't feel like doing. It can keep you from procrastinating when
an unpleasant duty faces you. But it can also help you do those things that you
want to do. It helps you seize those precious moments that, if lost, may never
be retrieved."
"Do not wait; the time will never be ''just right.'' Start where you stand, and work
with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be
found as you go along."
"The world has the habit of making room for the man whose actions show that
he knows where he is going."
"Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an
equal or greater benefit."
